General Description & Responsibilities

The Manager, Resourcing will work with the SVP, Operations and other members of leadership to understand company growth plans and strategic vision. They will focus on managing enterprise level resource allocation, including adjustments based on emerging business or technical opportunities and challenges. Manage enterprise resource schedule (current capacity, projections/forecasting, new work assignments, resource movement, assist with utilization monitoring) and create reports and dashboards for managers.

 

Responsibilities include -

Project Intake

Review project intake submissions and manage communications with client and sales

  • Process submitted sows
  • Validate contracts and file (MSA/NDA/SOW)
  • Validate funding assignments
  • Gather other information related to opportunity
  • Schedule new work (communicate/negotiate project start date)

Project Foundations

  • Setup each signed project in designated system to ensure financials and projected schedule correct for project management and reporting. Includes forecast project start and end date based on SOW information
  • Coordinate, prepare for and lead internal kick off with team
  • Coordinate pre-project communications to client introducing project team
  • Coordinate with client on any pre-project work that needs done and ensure they are ready for resources to come on-site
  • Monitor and govern time entry. Check for accuracy, missing or incomplete entries.

Resourcing

  • Manage enterprise resource schedule (current capacity, projections/forecasting, new work assignments, resource movement, assist with utilization/chargeability monitoring/reporting)
  • Assist in resource placement (recruiting pipeline)
  • Coordinate and lead regularly scheduled resourcing meetings with management and recruit
  • Manage enterprise level resource allocation, including adjustments based on emerging business or technical opportunities and challenges
  • Respond to and provide ad hoc data to sales executives, management, HR (and other managers/leadership as requested) on current resource assignments
  • Review and coordinate assignment and communications for submitted pursuit management resource requests and
  • Review and coordinate assignment and communications for submitted resource requests for new team members on active projects
  • Coordinate with managers and HR to update and track employees certifications and skillsets
  • Prepare and send regular communications to sales executives and leadership on lead times by practice area
  • Manage system components that are necessary for resource management and reporting including maintaining backlog of enhancements and requests

PLACEMENT CRITERIA & REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher required
  • Minimum three years in professional services
  • Ability to excel cross-functionally and maintain productive working relationships with all levels of leadership
  • Analytically driven and detail orientated. Excellent communication, writing and negotiation skills
  • Highly organized with a creative problem solving mentality
  • Ability to prioritize workflow and organize diverse material and ability to handle multiple, competing and changing priorities
  • Ability to perform effectively without supervision and within establish time limits and ongoing deadlines

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

While performing the duties of this position the employee is regularly required to sit and talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.  The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and drive or ride in a motor vehicle.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.  Must have the ability to travel, sometimes with short notice.
